Here's the process.
Set the camera up. Start the timer and run for your seat. Then you realize one of us took up too much of the allotted frame.
Try it again. But someone forgets to smile.
Change scenery, because in front of the wood stove was getting too dang hot. But then the cat knocks over the camera. So we set it back up and hold him so that he doesn't do it again. But end up cutting the top of our heads off.
Then we figure, if the cat's going to be in it, we might as well bring the dog in.
Chaos. And missing top of heads again.
But a good smile from Paul!
So in the end, I do what any sensible mother would: pick out the picture that I look the best in, and use it for our Christmas letter.

haha! Rocky says that the only reason we got the picture we did was because I think it was the best one of me. But kids are always cute...men just don't care the pressure is on the woman!

I love it! You make me laugh! Yes, you are beautiful in this picture. Big boys and little boys seldom do well in these circumstances anyway. But we all know how happy the whole family is becasue, as the saying goes, if mama ain't happy, nobody's happy. So the reverse must be true!

I'm with Carrie, Nathan vs. Brutus is quite funny. Though Rachel vs. Hercules isn't much better. Dogs rule.
I laughed at the strangled cat too, and the fact that you look beautiful in all of the pictures and that dad is either not smiling or cut off or some animal is being killed....fun times!
