The Cutest Thing You'll See Today

Aunt Carlsie (aka "Aunt Sissy") and "Aunt" Christina (who's holding him) came to hang out at my house for a couple hours on Thursday afternoon. Carlsie decided to put her "do these make me look smart?" glasses on Nathan. And do you think he knows how cute he looks in these pictures? Look at that smile. Of course he does.

Playing in the Mud

My friend Carrie came over today and we worked in the garden, pulling weeds. Nathan helped us out. He pulled a blade of grass.
It was really muddy (it's rained 6 inches in the last week), which he loved. I think it was his first experience in the mud. I brought him in after he ate a handful of mud (apparently) and threw it up. That was gross.

I considered trying to wash him off with a washrag. But I decided just to strip him down in the tub and hose him off. (Basically.) He was okay with that. He likes water too. I think he was a bit disappointed that there were no bath toys.
Then I put him in a onesie that was too small and decided to ride up in inappropriate places. Not that he minded. But it just looked inappropriate.
Anyhow. That's all for this post. I think I'm getting it figured out and the big announcement and changeover will be soon.

Trying out posting pictures.

This is a picture of my son Nathan. He was playing "drum" with his Daddy, banging on the milk can. That's their new favorite game. He's really crawling good now, so we have a hard time keeping him out of stuff. He's testing the boundaries of going over the big step down into our fireplace room. We have two big pillows laid across it for a soft landing in case he goes "bonk."

Here's one of him crawling around under our table. He's so proud of himself. His grandparents were crawling around under there with him. Paul's parents are completely goofy over Nathan. The love him so much, especially Paul's dad. He just has a way with Nathan. I don't know what it is, but he's always getting him to giggle and/or go to sleep. Things which he rarely does for me. Maybe it's because I'm Mommy and he's with me 24/7 - I'm not exciting enough.

I May Be Moving Here

Testing, testing....
I'm trying out this new blog service. I haven't been completely satisfied with my current one.
You can view my old blog here.
